Support our Troops and remember those who Served!!

Tuesday November 11th My family and I had the pleasure of attending a ceremony honoring my Grandfather and for his service in the Army durning World War II. My grandfather was a POW for 4 years where many times he was beaten with in an inch of his life. By the time Japan surendered my grandpa only weighed 84 lbs. My grandpa is now 92 years old and what keeps him going is his garden and his grandkids. He has 3 sons and those 3 sons are Reid, Donald, and Rod. Reid has 2 children Marideth and Diana. Marideth has 2 boys and Diana has 1 girl. Donald also has 2 girls Martha and Myla. Martha has 1 girl and Myla has 1 boy. Rod is my father he has 3 girls and 1 boy. Lori is the oldest and she has 5 children 4 boys and 1 girl. Heidi has 1 girl. Shawn the only boy to pass on the Goodliffe name has 1 girl and 1 boy (he know has the pressure to pass on the name). I have 2 girls and 1 boy. So grandpa has 9 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Out of all the grandkids 18 where at the ceremony. I am proud to live in this land of freedom but I am even more proud of my grandfather who gave so much to fight so his kids and grandkids could have the freedom we are so proud of. Thank you grandpa and to all of those who have served in the armed forces and sacrificed to keep this beautiful land free and safe. I'm Proud to be an American!!!!!

Welcome Home Uncle Greg

Welcome home Uncle Greg. To celebrate Uncle Greg returning home after being over in Iraq for the last year we went to Tepanyaki to celebrate his home coming. This is the first time Christy, Kaden, and I have ever been there. Kaden was so excited to see how they cooked the food and the fire. He tried to eat with his chop sticks and ate all kinds of new foods. Kaden wore him self out that by the time we hit the freeway to go home he was out cold. It was great fun and so nice to see Greg again. Greg will be leaving Wednesday to go to Germany for the next year on another military contract. Good Luck Greg and we will miss you!!!!

We interupt this family for Baseball

One of the most exciting thing my husband and I did was in October 2007 when the Red Sox and the Rockies played in the World Series. It was game 4 being played in Denver Sunday night. My Husband and I took off Sunday morning with out tickets. We stopped for breakfast at 9:00 am and called into the ticket office. We got 12th row behind home plate. The Red Sox went on to win the game and the Series and we where there to see it all. The worst part was that after the game we had to turn around and drive straight home so Brian could be back to work Monday morning. What a blast we had!!! Go SOX. Brian and I try to make it back to Boston each year and go to Fenway for at least 2 games. Also any of our family vacations are scheduled around if the Red Sox are in town. We truly love baseball and can be found at many of the Raptors games (pioneer leage for the Dodgers). Brian and I also are trying to visit diffrent ball parks. Many people find it wierd that for our aniversery I have oked them to be spent at the ball park.

My Pride and Joy

These are my Pride and Joy. My Children are my LIFE. Everything I do is for them. Christy is the oldest of them. She is so smart and she loves school. Christy also is the most beautiful dancer. She has taken dance from Shaw Dance Studio for the last 5 years. This year she taking a break from dance and trying out the world of sports. She is playing basketball this year but she really misses dance. Alyssa is only 2 months younger then Christy. Alyssa is are sports fanatic. She can be found playing sports year round. In the summer and the fall she plays Soccer, in the Winter Basketball, and Spring Softball. Kaden was born a month early and is still such a little guy, but what he lacks in hight he makes up in stregth. Don't let those big brown eyes fool you and that grin Kaden can be found torturing his sisters by tackling them to the ground and pulling their hair. Kaden also played his first year of Tee-ball and disappointed that it is over.
